I SO need motivation

****EDIT….I am a week LATE!!, but seeing as how Bobbi’s blog accepted my linky, I’ll post progress anyways

what’s on my design wall??

Where have I been?, mostly looking after kids and the house

Though I am facilitating at two craft groups, member of two guilds (on the committee for one) and have joined the local chapter of the Modern Quilt Guild

Also, Insanity II was pictured on page 28 of the Victorian Quilter’s Guild October Newsletter

On to my design wall, first picture is before I had the bright idea to pin up the Insanity quilts for updated pictures

Bonnie Hunter’s Double Delight blocks, a test block for Roll, Roll, Cotton Boll, Vignette hexagons (a whopping inch per side) and a 30’s Repro quilt-in-progress on the right (sorry, can’t find the pattern for the name, will edit when I do)
design wall

Second picture is the quilt that started it all, “Insanity”  Using 1930’s repro’s and a white background

Insanity 1 progress picture

Third picture is “Insanity II”, growing slowly, but growing none the less

so much closer…..

with bandy legs too

Latest progress picture

long time no post, I’ve been “hexxed”

48.8% complete

5053 pieces joined, 5286 to go

117 more and I’m half way there

Waiting on some more charm packs to arrive. Goal for the month is to finish the top border and add some white all around the outer purple border

Had a scare with the purple borders, ran out of fabric and was extremely lucky to find a very close match

the Insanity continues…..Design Wall Update

Well….

over a month has passed, what have I done?

Quilted a couple of quilts for other people

Quilted a charity quilt

tried to complete a quilt top (failed there, THANK YOU cat)

"you want to SEW??"

and added 789 hexagons to “Insanity II”

3973 pieces joined/6366 pieces to go

38.4% done

38.4% complete

I really should keep up with weekly posts and have the quilt grow evenly, but we have been “shaped” twice (that’s when the provider slows access to a point where writing on stone is quicker than the internet connection)

anyways, head over to Judy’s Blog to see updates from lots of other quilters

Gratitudes….

for friends (both in real life and on the ‘net)

a partner who takes over everything…..so I can obsess over hexagons

and the internet…as much as it is a pain, I would be lost without it
